Christopher John Mackinnon, MD, is a Canadian physician from Prince Edward Island. He has completed his Batchelor of Science from the University of Prince Edward Island and a Medical Degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Dr. Mackinnon practiced in Nova Scotia Canadian Province for 11 years doing family medicine, Obstetrics, Minor Surgeries, and Emergency Medicine in Yarmouth Town in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Dr. Mackinnon was the Medical Director for the Southern Division of Air/Sea Rescue with the Canadian Coast Island. He was later recruited to Benson, NC in 1996 by Good Hope Hospital and remained here running his practice until 2024. Dr. Mackinnon was about to retire in 2024 but decided to redirect his efforts towards new challenges at Benson Health. In his free time he loves to cycle, play hockey, and golf ! He no longer plays hockey but is a huge hurricane fan!
